The Municipality of Kayapa was hailed back to back Most Outstanding Municipality in advancing Adolescent Health and Development (AHD) and Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP) in the region-wide 2022 Kaunlarang Pantao Awarding Ceremony by the Commission on Population and Development held at Zen Hotel, Santiago City, Isabela on April 1, 2022.

Aside from receiving placques of recognition, Kayapa also received a total of ₱30,000.00 in cash for the two categories. The LGU under the guidance of Mayor Elizabeth D. Balasya was able to conduct innovative and sustainable interventions on AHD and RPFP during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The LGU also received placques of recognition and the same amount of cash incentives from the Provincial PopCom Office.

The awards given to the municipality recognizes the efforts and initiatives of the LGU in advancing various population and development strategies, particularly responsible parenthood/family planning, adolescent health and development integration amid the on-going pandemic.
